A lady with soft eyes like funeral tapers, And face that seemed wrought out of moonlit vapours, And a sad mouth, that fear made tremulous As any ruddy moth, looked down on us; And she with a wave-rusted chain was tied To two old eagles, full of ancient ( pride. . . )

I spent nearly two hours, talking to portraits today. Everyone needed to be reassured that they would be returned back to their families (if they were donations) and there were quite a number of stories to hear. I had to make sure everyone would behave during the opening as well. I can't imagine how a gallery opening would work if all the occupants were running around in not their own paintings.

I have had a song in my head for a good portion of the day, but every time I try to explain it to someone, I cannot get the tune right or remember the words and it goes silent for a few minutes or an hour or so and then it is back and it is quite the frustrating nonsense. I do not even remember where I heard it.

[Private to Jacqueline] Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you! She is the cutest, fluffiest, purriest little kitten I have ever seen! [/ward]
[Private to Ferdinand] Thank you brother, I already said it, but I feel you deserve it. Also, I think there is a new family member you need to meet. She needs a name though. [/ward]

When one quotes another, it is generally best to explain the reasoning behind choosing such a quote, but really, I just sort of like this one and it is pretty self-explanatory.
"Time's fatal wings do ever forward fly; to every day we live, a day we die."
